The series of eclipses along the Taurus-Scorpio axis continues with a partial solar eclipse on April 30 at 10º28’ Taurus.
Last November, the lunar eclipse at 27º Taurus kicked off the changes in these parts of our lives. Lunar eclipses represent culminations and endings, however, while solar ones symbolize new starts. This means something is sprouting soon, especially with the north node involved. Growth and acquisition are associated with this node, as are hunger and desire. It’s important to not be consumed by its appetite.
As with any eclipse (or transit, arguably), it’s impossible to predict exactly what will happen. The effects will vary from person to person, and can take months to fully manifest. That said, those with important planets and angles around 10º of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) will likely feel the greatest impact.
Often described as a cosmic shake-up, this eclipse will have double the voltage thanks to a conjunction with electrifying Uranus. This agent of chaos has been disrupting Taurean territory since mid-2018, sparking both upheaval and modernization. Food, agriculture, nature, finance, art, fashion, beauty, values, and outer and inner worth all fall within this sign’s domain. Taurus desires security and stability above all else; however, we will have to be open to change if we want to make progress.
Ruler Venus is at her exaltation degree in Pisces, exactly conjunct Jupiter—a generally positive harbinger of hope and connection. Mars, also in Pisces forming a sextile to this eclipse, supports future action—especially of a creative, spiritual, or healing nature. These Pisces placements may be encouraging Taurus to loosen its grip and see how it feels to let go; to explore deeper waters and grander heights, away from the safety of dry land.
